Beagliers

Our Beagliers are a cross between a Beagle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. As each parent is a purebred, the offspring produced are First Generation Beagliers (F1).

Beagliers are becoming another popular designer breed, as they too make a great family dog. The breed originated right here in Australia in the 1990’s. Breeders were looking for a small, healthy, energetic dog with a less active scent drive than the Beagle. And the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was chosen because of their well-mannered, even-tempered breed. They are incredibly friendly, happy go lo lucky dogs that strive on keeping their owners happy. They too suit many family types from singles, couples and especially families with children. They love walks and runs and just love spending time with their families, even snuggling on the couch at the end of a long day. What you need to be aware of is……they LOVE their food! So please, do be cautious with what you feed them, how often and how much. Don’t give in to their permanent puppy dog eyes!

As both parents are shedding breeds, so too are the Beagliers. However, don’t let this deter you. With frequent brushing, as any shedding and non-shedding breed would need, this significantly reduces the amount of shedding. Beagliers can have a short and slightly coarse coat (like their Beagle mother) or a silky-smooth and longer coat (like their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel father)

Beaglier colours vary also. Love My Oodle have produced the following colours: Tri, Black/Tan, Ruby, Ruby/White and Blenheim.

Size can vary between 7kg-15kg and 30cm-40cm back height. However, this could vary depending on the size of the parents and the general health and lifestyle of the dog. Being a cross breed, there is no guarantee of size and weight of fully mature Beagliers. Life expectancy is 13-15 years.
