Cavoodles

Our Cavoodles (also known as Cavapoo, Cavpoo and Cavadoodle), are a cross between Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Toy Poodle. As each parent is a purebred, the offspring produced are First Generation Cavoodles (F1).

Cavoodles are one of the most popular designer breeds. They are one of the oldest of the ‘Oodle’ breeds that were first cross bred in America in the 1950’s. Cavoodles made their way to breeders in Australia in the 1990’s. They are so popular simply because they make the perfect family dog, that love other pets and absolutely adore children. Cavoodles suit many family types from singles, couples, families with children and the elderly. Not only affectionate, but they are also quite intelligent, making them highly trainable! The have a balanced amount of energy, very social and love daily walks and plays, and of course, plenty of snuggling in the evenings. They have a super sweet temperament, gentle and loving.

As dad is a Toy Poodle (non-shedding breed) all offspring are considered low to non-shedding making them hypoallergenic and coats can vary from wavey to curly. So, a positive of this, is that there will be little to no hair floating around your home! But this does mean they will need to be groomed regularly. How regular is totally up to you and how long you like their coats. Some may clip every Summer, while others prefer every season and some even more frequent like every 6-8 weeks. As long as you keep up with the brushing of their coats, all options are fine.

Cavoodle colours vary also. Love My Oodle have produced the following colours: Solid Ruby, Ruby/White, Apricot/White, Blenheim, Solid Black, Black/White and Black/White/Tan.

Size can vary between 5kg-7kg and 30cm-35cm back height. However, this could vary depending on the size of the parents and the general health and lifestyle of the dog. Being a cross breed, there is no guarantee of size and weight of fully mature Cavoodles. Life expectancy is 11-15 years
